As the Chief Financial Officer of the county, I exercise general supervision over the accounting of all organizations under the control
of the Board of Supervisors as well as those special districts and school districts whose funds are maintained by the County Treasury.
In addition to maintaining all basic financial
information, the Auditor-Controller analyzes accounting reports,
supplies fiscal information and acts as financial counsel to the Chief
Executive Officer and Board of Supervisors.
An integral function of the Auditor-Controller's Office is the administration of the property tax rolls. Please use the link below to access an explanation about the property tax process in Mendocino County. We hope this information is very helpful and we welcome any comments you may have.
Along with my staff, we are dedicated in honoring the public's trust and committed to serving the Mendocino County community with integrity and honesty. As an elected office, we hope to further that trust by providing an independent source of fiscal and financial information and analysis to the public, the media, the Board of Supervisors and other governmental bodies. Information found on this site will allow you as interested citizens the opportunity to learn about the financial health and well being of your local government.
