5. COUNTY EXECUTIVE OFFICE AND DEPARTMENTAL MATTERS
(a) Informational Update from Fire Safe Council (FCS) on Progress of Community Wildfire Protection Plan and Development of Scope of Work to Assess and Identify Strategies to Mitigate Pre-Fire Hazards; and Seek Possible Board Direction on Scope of Work
Recommended Action/Motion: Receive the informational update from the Fire Safe Council and provide further direction, as needed, to staff and FSC about the Scope of Work to assess and identify strategies, such as standing dead trees, to mitigate pre-fire hazards.

(b) Noticed Public Hearing - Continued Public Hearing of an Appeal by the Applicant, Tom Palley, of the Zoning Administrators Denial of Variance No. V 2014-0005, to Reduce the Setback for an Existing Single Family Residence in Covelo (Continued from March, 17, 2015)
Recommended Action/Motion: Continue the public hearing on Variance No. V 2014-0005 to October 6, 2015 to allow applicant, Tom Palley to complete the preparation and recordation of the No-Build Area Easement.
