 Business Loan Program

The program gave me the opportunity to purchase The Westport Community Store, where I had worked for 23 years. They came to Westport and helped me with all aspects of my loan from filling out the application to receiving the check, and I didn't have to leave the store. Government works, if you use it.

Business Loan Application  To determine whether or not your needs fit within the program parameters, please contact our office at (707) 463-4441 or via email, prior to beginning the application process.

The Mendocino County Business Loan Program is source of financing for local businesses operating in the unincorporated area of the County.

The Mendocino County Loan Program is made possible by financing provided by the State of California, Community Development Block Grant Program.

This funding opportunity has special requirements that are called public benefits, meaning that each business borrowing from the Mendocino County Loan Program will be required to help provide these public benefits.

An essential public benefit is the creation of job opportunities, especially for low and moderate-income individuals who are looking for employment. All Borrowers will be required to create at least one job per $35,000 in loan funds received from the County of Mendocino.

Loans are typically considered for the following activities:

  • Working Capital
  • Purchase of Equipment, Fixtures, Inventory
  • Purchase of a Business
  • Refinancing
  • Purchase of Land & Buildings

Loan Terms can be up to 15 years depending on collateral. Special payment plans are also available to meet the need of the business.

Interest Rates are based on collateral - which may be at a rate lower than conventional financing.

Free Loan Services to our clients! These services include Loan Packaging and Presentation, Business Plan Reviews, Financial Review & Analysis, and one-on-one counseling for other finance related issues.
