 Central Services Division - Mail Services

The General Services mail team provides timely and accurate distribution delivery and pickup services of U.S. and interdepartmental mail for all County maintained facilities.

More than 10,000 pieces of U.S. Mail and Inter Office Mail are processed through the Mail Center each day. We proudly service over 100 County locations, focusing on timeliness, accuracy, and courtesy.

What Services Are Provided?
On Monday through Friday incoming U.S. mail is picked up from the main mail room in the County Administration Center; outgoing mail is delivered to the main Ukiah Post Office Monday through Friday.

Other features of outgoing mail:

  • County Mail Services receives, logs and sends United Parcel Service items.
  • All outgoing U.S. mail is processed and weighed by our staff to ensure proper postage.
  • Once postage costs are assessed, Departments are billed via journal entry by the General Services Agency.
Policies
The County mail service is to be used for the routing of mail and materials related directly to County business.  Personal correspondence should be mailed through the U.S. mail.
