HIV Testing and Counseling
Provides free anonymous and confidential HIV testing and counseling services to individuals upon request. The schedule may vary, so please call 472-2700, 800 734-7793 or 964-4713 for information and an appointment. Services are provided at the Health Department and at drop-in sites throughout the County.
Epidemiology and Surveillance
Tracks the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Mendocino County by compiling statistics on local cases of HIV/AIDS.
AIDS Drug Assistance Program
Enrolls eligible people with HIV/AIDS in this program which provides funding for specific medications that are used to treat people with HIV/AIDS.
TITLE II/Ryan White Care Act
Oversees the Title II program for Mendocino County. Title II can provide various services that assist people with HIV/AIDS with medical and social service needs.
Education and Prevention
Subcontracts education and prevention outreach services to several community based organizations. Community Health Outreach Workers go out into the community and offer information regarding HIV/AIDS and other STDs, information on how to prevent the transmission of HIV and STDs, offer condoms as well as voluntary oral HIV antibody testing and counseling services.
