 Family Planning Clinic

The Mendocino County Family Planning Program will be closing its clinic doors after forty years of service, effective June 30, 2011. We are thankful for the many years we have been able to serve the community.

FamilyPACT, BCCTP (Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment Program), and CDP/EWC (Cancer Detection Program/Every Woman Counts) programs will no longer be available through this agency. Family Planning services no longer available include: Birth control methods, STD testing and treatment, HIV/AIDS testing, pregnancy testing and referral, physical exams for men and women, mammogram referrals, PAP tests, colposcopy services, individualized prevention counseling and education services.

STD Control staff will continue to follow-up on Confidential Morbidity Reports (CMR’s) and positive STD lab results. Consultation on treatment issues and access to expertise at the State level will also continue to be available.

If you have questions please contact the Community Health Services (Public Health Branch) at (707) 472-2700
