As of September 20, 2010, there are 23 known cases in Mendocino County. Vaccination is recommended for anyone who will be around under immunized infants/children. Infants under 6 months of age are under immunized. Pregnant women can get vaccinated during pregnancy or at the hospital right after the birth. The vaccine Tdap (Whooping Cough) can be given to ages seven years and older (no upper age limit). View more information on Whooping Cough.
