 Tobacco Settlement Oversight Committee

History

A standing board of the HHSA Advisory Board, the Tobacco Settlement Oversight Committee (TSOC) was created in July 2001. The purpose of TSOC (formerly the Tobacco Settlement Advisory Committee) is to make recommendations and advise the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors on the distribution of the community project's portion of the Tobacco Settlement Revenue funds received by Mendocino County.

The intention of TSOC is to have a positive impact on community health by supporting local organizations through distribution of annual grants written in accordance with the four priority areas of the 2005-2009 Community Health Strategic Plan (Access to Care, Aging, Alcohol and Other Drugs, and Healthy Lifestyles).

There will be no 2010 Round 9 RFP for Tobacco Settlement funds.

Meetings of the Tobacco Settlement Oversight Committee are suspended until further notice.

Please contact Cassandra Taaning for more information - 472-2793.
