Employees who are enrolled in the Health Plan receive the following:
The
County pays for employee Basic Life Insurance and Accidental Death and
Dismemberment Insurance through Reliastar. The Basic Life plan pays a
death benefit only. There is no cash value or savings component.
If
you die or become seriously injured in a covered accident, the County
provides you with Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
(AD&D). This is in addition to the Basic Life Insurance.

Employees can also purchase Supplemental Life Insurance as well as additional Voluntary Accident Insurance.
