Fort Bragg, Willits & Point Arena Flu Clinics

Mendocino County Community Health Services (formerly the Public Health Department) will be holding flu vaccination clinics at the following locations in Fort Bragg, Willits and Point Arena. The flu clinic is for anyone 19 to 49 years old with one or more chronic health condition, and anyone that falls within high-risk guidelines. A donation of $10.00 is suggested per flu vaccination.

  • Fort Bragg: Monday, October 27, 2008 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Redwood Coast Senior Center, located at 490 N. Harold Street.

  • Willits: Monday, October 27, 2008 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Willits Senior Center, located at 1501 Baechtel Road.

  • Point Arena: Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) building, located at 451 School Street.

    High-Risk Guidelines:

  • People age 50 years and older

  • People younger than 50 years of age with one or more chronic health condition (diabetes, HIV, lung disease, kidney disease, heart disease, chronic liver disease, long term aspirin therapy, spinal cord injuries, seizure disorders, cognitive dysfunction, immune compromised and people with neuromuscular disorders)

  • Residents of long-term care facilities

  • Women who are or plan to be pregnant during the flu season

    Health care personnel who provide direct patient care in or out of the home, i.e., doctors, nurses, etc.

  • Household contact to a person unable to be vaccinated due to being immune compromised or children less than 6 months of age

    Please contact your local health branch by phone or visit the Mendocino County website at www.co.mendocino.ca.us/ph for further details of scheduled flu clinics.
